Project Title: Synthesis of Marine Natural Product Staurosporinone and its Analogues

Essential Qualifications of a Project Associate: M. Sc. in Chemistry
Desirable experience: Candidates having an M. Sc. with a specialization in Organic Chemistry and sound knowledge in organic synthesis and chemical process development are desirable.
The selected candidate for Project Associate I will have to work on the project entitled “Synthesis of Marine Natural Product Staurosporinone and its Analogues”.
The candidate will work on organic synthesis, natural products and their analogues, characterization of organic molecules, reaction optimization and demonstration of the above processes.
Monthly Emoluments of Project Associate I at CMCRI:
- For candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Governments: Rs.37,000/- + HRA
- For others: Rs.30,000/- + HRA
Age: Maximum 35 years
Duration: Temporary for one year, extendable
