How You Will Make an Impact at an Engineer II
A Field Applications Engineer is the technical professional responsible for enabling our industry customers in the integration of our tools into their processes, supporting the development and production of semiconductors and related technologies.
What You Will Do as an Engineer
As an Engineer II, Field Application at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will:
- Provide on-site professional technical support to customers in India.
- Develop innovative solutions to customer challenges to ensure customer satisfaction and grow the business.
- Support tool acceptance and new technologies on location and coordination with the product and service teams.
- Develop positive relationships with our customers as a technical partner to solve their challenges, explain our technology, and assist with application development.
- Provide detailed technical feedback to the product teams on customer needs and product performance in the field.

Engineer II ideal for a creative and dynamic technologist focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
- Typically requires a university degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field; an advanced degree is helpful.
- 2+ years of experience
- Hands-on experience with SDB (Small Dual Beam) required or related process use case creations.
- Knowledge of process development in the semiconductor or related industries is a plus.
- Engineer II should have Experience with characterization, failure analysis, and metrology, which is a plus.
- Excellent, clear communication skills and cultivating positive, productive relationships with customers are a must.
- Ability to travel in India domestically and possession of a valid passport.
