Job Purpose
To conduct and assist in pre-formulation and phase-appropriate formulation development activities to support pre-clinical and clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities of Syngene Senior Associate Scientist
- Physicochemical properties assessment through pre-formulation studies for new chemical entities (NCEs).
- Formulation development and feasibility studies to support pre-clinical pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacology (PD) and toxicology (safety) studies.
- Assist in oral drug product development to support clinical studies, including but not limited to oral solution, suspension, tablet and capsule dosage forms.
- Good knowledge/understanding of solid-state characterization of drug substances.
- Biopharmaceutical risk assessment for drug substance & drug product using in vitro, in silico, in vivo tools.
- Handling and good knowledge of basic analytical tools/instruments used in drug discovery and formulation development work.
- Record, summarize and present experimental data/results appropriately and assist in drafting relevant scientific/technical reports.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and basic scientific software/tools used in drug discovery and formulation development workspace.
- Work collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams while exhibiting the core values of the department and company.
Educational Qualifications & Experience for Syngene Senior Associate Scientist
M. Pharm or M.S. in Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Industrial Pharmacy with 5-8 years of relevant industrial experience
Technical Skills
Understanding of physicochemical properties, Pre-formulation, Formulation Development, Formulation Stability Studies, Solid-State Characterization, Data Interpretation.
