R&D Chemist at Avient
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced R&D Chemist/Engineer with a strong understanding of core chemistry to improve polymer properties and performance. The R&D Chemist/Engineer will be responsible for the research and development of sustainable polymer solutions that create value for our
customers. The selected candidate will be a part of Avient’s research and development team.Essential Functions
- Develops, with guidance, products adhering to customer specifications, quality, and operational goals and standards.
- Conduct work in a safe, ethical, and collaborative manner.
- Actively participates in materials testing to facilitate scale-up to production.
- Contributes to product platform development through the application of statistical experimental design, product testing, and data analysis.
- Supports marketing and sales through the development of product and application data.
- Help drive innovation that enriches Avient’s intellectual property portfolio.
- Use statistical methods to drive experimentation and data interpretation.
- Communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as and when required.
Education and Experience
Essential:
- M.Sc in Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science/Engineering, Material Science.
