Job Title: Product Stewardship Senior Technician
Job Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: Team Leader (EHS)
Work Hours: 5:30 pm – 2:30 am

Role & Responsibilities
Purpose:
- Conduct hazard assessment for all products.
- Maintain product safety data in Agile.
- Prepare Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in multiple languages, incorporating global chemical inventory information.
- Provide hazard phrases and symbols for product labeling.
- Respond to customer queries on product safety.
- Perform shipment reviews and transport classifications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist other employees in achieving Thermo Fisher company goals.
- Collaborate and support processes and projects with the supervisor.
- Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
- Participate in EH&S initiatives as outlined by the company.
- Prepare SDSs and container labels for LSG’s commercial and experimental products, meeting regional-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with LSG’s R&D staff to gather detailed compositional and physical property data for hazard assessments.
- Work with toxicologists/scientists to ensure product hazards are evaluated and reflected in SDS and labels.
- Review product formulations and necessary documentation for accurate hazard characterization.
- Update products in the internal data repository.
- Assist with managing the SDS distribution tool.
- Support team projects.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience Levels:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Toxicology, Chemistry, Biology, or other life sciences.
- Strong analytical skills to manage large amounts of detailed information.
- Proven ability to work independently and in team environments.
- Ability to learn and work with sophisticated databases.
- Attention to computer-use ergonomic issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of customer requirements and expectations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Motivated to learn on the job and take initiative for training.
- Strategic, astute, and forward-thinking; encourages, motivates, and collaborates with the team.
Skills:
- Strong English language skills. Additional European or Asian language skills are preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and meet response times and timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly MS Excel.
