Senior R&D Engineer
Bangalore, Fixed-Term, Full-time
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Transfer of global resin products and technology to the Indian market
- Scouting for and homologation of local raw materials
- Modification and adaptation of products to local market requirements
- Scouting for and implementing local equipment and tools for the lab and production
- Preparation and testing of lab-scale samples
- Deputy of the production manager and supervision of technical personnel
- Planning, organization, and execution of production trials
- Optimization of existing products and processes regarding performance and costs
- Support of sales, production, and quality control with lab testing and technical advice
- Leading and documentation of R&D projects according to R&D processes and ISO/IATF requirements
- Ensure maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
- Advanced knowledge of polymer synthesis and resin formulation with a focus on unsaturated polyester, epoxy, and polyurethane
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of project management according to ISO 9001 (preferably IATF 16949)
- Fluency in English and the local language
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in chemical R&D with 2 years in project management roles
- Proven track record in R&D and product development
