Role Overview – Scientific Sourcing Officer:
This role supports clinical development study negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, and performance management, all while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in CRO partnerships.
Key Responsibilities for Scientific Sourcing Officer Job:

Support negotiations and contracting for clinical studies.

Conduct bid-defense meetings and technical calls.

Develop RFPs, QCS, and other sourcing documents.

Perform capability mapping and supplier evaluation.

Draft robust terms, payment schedules, and project agreements.

Drive continuous improvements in sourcing systems and tools.

Maintain professional, ethical supplier relationships as Scientific Sourcing Officer.

Measure supplier performance using KPIs and SLAs.

Categorize suppliers for better spend and risk management.

Facilitate issue resolution via cross-functional meetings.

Ensure audit readiness and timely invoice issue resolution.

Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:

Background in clinical research is mandatory.

Experience in procurement transactions related to CROs as Scientific Sourcing Officer.

Education: B. Pharm/B.Sc./M. Pharm/M.Sc. or equivalent.

Experience: 2–5 years (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
