- Position: Specialist – Medicinal Chemistry
- Location: Bengaluru
- Experience: 0–4 Years
- Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry/Chemistry) and Ph.D. (Organic Chemistry/Chemistry)
- Preferred: Post-doctoral research experience is an added advantage
Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently design and synthesize novel target molecules as per client specifications.
- Apply a strong command of organic chemistry including:
- Heterocyclic chemistry
- Metal-catalyzed reactions
- Air- and moisture-sensitive reactions
- Hydrogenation techniques
- Multi-step synthesis
- Operate and troubleshoot synthetic and purification techniques, including:
- Chromatographic methods (flash, MPLC)
- Spectroscopic and analytical methods (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, IR)
- Solve synthetic challenges independently and provide guidance to team members when needed.
- Supervise and mentor a small team (3–4 chemists).
- Participate in client interactions and present project progress during telecons/video conferences.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic/lab notebooks as per client and organizational standards.
- Prepare scientific reports, data summaries, and other required documents.
- Comply with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) protocols and organizational SOPs.
