Position Purpose
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Analytical Scientist I at Bayer, your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Method development for new entities and in-process samples using GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and various other analytical techniques.
- Analyzing and solving complex analytical problems utilizing different instruments and wet chemistry methods.
- Documenting analytical data accurately and comprehensively to support product development processes.
- Writing analytical laboratory-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and test methods.
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory instruments and the analytical development laboratory environment.
- Participating actively in internal and external inspection and audit preparations and documentation processes.
- Demonstrating the ability to prioritize and effectively manage numerous analytical activities simultaneously.
Key Working Relations of an Analytical Scientist I at Bayer
- Internal: Coordinate closely with ADL team members, the synthesis chemistry lab, and the site QC/GMP team.
- External: Coordinate with external vendors and engineers for instrument-related activities.
Who You Are
REQUIREMENTS:
- M.Sc. or M.Pharm in Analytical Chemistry or Organic Chemistry with more than 5 years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of analytical tools and supporting software applications such as Empower, OpenLab CDS, and LabSolutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the demonstrated ability to perform structure elucidation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a dynamic and interdisciplinary team environment.
