ROLE Summary: Follow established procedures and guidelines to analyze test samples and review analytically to report results.
RESPONSIBILITIES for Sr. Chemist:

Testing of used oil and fresh oil samples from OEMs/OMs
-
Knowledge of ASTM, DIN, CEC, and other industry-standard methods
-
Preparation of blends and hands-on blend optimization studies
-
Calibration of instruments & standardization of volumetric solutions
-
Analytical data entry in software
-
Troubleshooting of issues related to analysis, instruments, and methods
-
Coordination with different departments for related work

Knowledge of QMS, EMS, and OSHA
REQUIREMENTS for Sr. Chemist:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized university

In-house candidate: B.Sc. or M.Sc.

External hires: M.Sc. only

Experience for Sr. Chemist:
-
7–8 years of industry experience in testing lubricants, additives, and chemicals, preferably in an MNC environment
-
Hands-on experience with analytical equipment and software compatibility
-
Ability to work independently and in a team
-
Proficiency in English communication and in using MS Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and statistical utilities
