Assistant Manager Job at Evonik Key Responsibilities
- Independently design and execute experiments of complex organic-chemical synthesis to develop new products, solutions and active ingredients across various industries.
- Well versed in literature search engines such as Reaxys, Sci-finder for research purposes.
- Design new scalable synthetic routes that are sustainable in terms of chemistries and operations.
- Ensure proper documentation and presentation of experiments, product characterization results, and summaries.
- Execute R&D projects to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Be innovative and propose new ideas to solve technical challenges.
- Collaborate efficiently with internal and external teams for project completion.
- Support the development of new technologies and stay updated with industry advancements.
Assistant Manager Job at Evonik Requirements
- PhD in organic chemistry with 2-3 years of industrial experience or MSc in Organic chemistry with 5-10 years of industrial experience.
- Solid understanding of organic reactions, mechanisms, purification techniques, and analytical result interpretation.
- Know how in carbohydrate chemistry preferred.
- Self-motivated with proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, perform well under pressure.
