- M.Sc/B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with relevant safety certifications
- Certified Diploma in Industrial/Occupational Safety
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/R&D environment.
- Conduct and supervise facility/site safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Investigate incidents and near misses; drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Recommend modifications in equipment, procedures, or workflows to improve overall workplace safety.
- Monitor and ensure the proper functioning and readiness of fire extinguishers and other fire safety systems.
- Develop, establish, and conduct safety training and awareness programs for all employees and contractors.
- Oversee the safe disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to safety audits, training, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, risk assessment techniques, and emergency preparedness.
- Hands-on experience with safety audits, HAZOP, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Proficient in preparing and maintaining safety documentation and reports.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
