Research Associate – I Position

Applications are invited from the citizens of India for a Research Associate – I position for the sponsored project in the Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata. This temporary position is initially for a period of 1 year and is tenable only for the duration of the project.

Project and Job Description

• Study Description: Study the effect of various parameters, such as solvent polarity, nature of chain
  transfer agents, initiator, etc. on the reversible addition-fragmentation chain
  transfer (RAFT) polymerization of various vinyl monomers with antioxidant
  pendants. Candidates having research experience in organic synthesis and
  characterization, polymer synthesis and characterization, and the Schlenk line
  technique, will be preferred
• Qualifications: Suitable candidates must have submitted their thesis or must have a Ph. D. degree in Chemistry. Candidates having research experience in organic synthesis and characterization, polymer synthesis and characterization, and the Schlenk line technique, will be preferred.
• Age limit: As per DST eligibility criteria
