Scientific Execution & Project Delivery
-
Plan and set up chemical reactions to synthesize target molecules.

Understand project goals and translate client specifications into actionable research plans.

Conduct literature reviews and select synthetic methodologies.

Use appropriate reagents, solvents, and equipment while adhering to safety norms.

Monitor reactions and use analytical tools (e.g., TLC, HPLC, NMR) to assess progress.

Purify intermediates/final compounds using techniques like crystallization, chromatography, etc as Associate Scientist.

Analyze and interpret analytical data to evaluate compound purity and structure.

Document all experiments and maintain lab notebooks in compliance with client and internal guidelines.
Team Leadership & Supervision for Associate Scientist

Guide and delegate tasks to junior chemists, ensuring effective planning and timely execution.

Review lab notebook entries of junior team members and ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Support team development by providing training on reaction planning, safety, and purification techniques as Associate Scientist.

Help maintain high morale and productivity within the team.
Safety, Compliance & IP

Review and discuss MSDS with the team and ensure safe lab practices.

Identify and mitigate potential safety risks with supervisor support.

Ensure compliance with IP, data integrity, and confidentiality standards preferred for Associate Scientist.

Adhere to SOPs and general housekeeping standards in the lab.
Reporting & Communication

Support project managers in effort estimation by proposing synthetic routes and highlighting potential risks.

Prepare weekly, monthly, and final project reports.

Ensure continuous communication with team leaders regarding project updates and bottlenecks.
Educational Qualifications for Associate Scientist:

M.Sc. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry with 1–5 years of hands-on synthesis experience

Ph.D./Post-Doc in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry with 1–3 years of relevant industrial or academic research experience
Preferred Qualifications for Associate Scientist:

Research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Experience in peptide synthesis or peptide conjugation chemistry is highly desirable.

Knowledge of automation or parallel synthesis platforms will be an advantage.
Functional and Technical Skills

Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic synthesis, especially peptides as Associate Scientist.
