Description
Brief Job Overview:
The Technical Associate/Scientist I at USP is responsible for the synthesis and delivery of USP Reference Standard candidate materials and API impurities. This role involves designing cost-effective synthetic routes, literature search, synthesis planning and execution, project reporting, and adherence to quality management systems and lab safety practices.
Responsibilities:
As a Technical Associate/Scientist I at USP, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out a literature search related to the assigned projects
- Designing synthetic routes and preparing project proposals
- Performing reactions on a small to large scale
- Purifying compounds through various techniques
- Troubleshooting synthesis and purification issues
- Contributing to challenging projects with innovative methodologies
Requirements:
- M Sc (Organic Chemistry) from a reputed university
- 0-1 year of experience for Technical Associate, 1-3 years for Scientist-I
- Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Additional Preferences:
- Extensive knowledge on organic reactions
- Experience in handling sensitive chemicals
- Track record of patents/publications in synthetic organic chemistry
