Job Title: LIMS Consulting

Responsibilities as a LIMS Consultant

As a LIMS Consultant at Infosys, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing your extensive experience (4-8 years) in LIMS (LV/LW), focusing on Implementation, Configuration, and Customization using Java and JavaScript.
  • Leading and participating in the integration of LIMS with diverse Lab applications.
  • Having successfully implemented at least 2-3 projects in a development-focused role using the LabVantage platform and Jasper/iReport/Java reporting tools.
  • Effectively engaging with key stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into comprehensive functional and/or design documentation for LabVantage LIMS solutions.
  • Applying your strong technical proficiency across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design, Development, Validation, and release management.

Technical and Professional Requirements

  • Primary Skills: Technology -> Life Sciences -> LIMS
  • Prior experience in developing instrument drivers using SDMS/Talend/Java is considered a valuable asset.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience navigating the software development life cycle.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Project life cycle activities within both development and maintenance projects.
  • A solid background with at least 5 years of involvement in Design and architecture review processes.
  • A thorough understanding of the sample management domain and significant practical exposure to life sciences projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within diverse and multi-stakeholder team environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team interactions.

  • Contributing to developing value-creating strategies and models that empower clients to innovate, drive business growth, and enhance profitability.
  • Possessing a good understanding of software configuration management systems and their application.
  • Maintaining awareness of the latest technological advancements and industry trends within the life sciences and LIMS sectors.
  • Exhibiting strong logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a collaborative mindset.
  • Understanding the financial aspects of various project types and the different pricing models available.
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments of current client processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend suitable technology solutions.
  • Possessing domain knowledge in one or two specific industry verticals within life sciences.
  • Strong client interfacing skills with a focus on building and maintaining productive relationships.
  • Experience in Project and Team management, including planning, coordination, and task delegation.
