Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Semiconductor Business Unit is seeking a dynamic and innovative Field Applications Engineer II to provide on-site technical support to customers across India. This role involves enabling semiconductor industry clients to integrate cutting-edge technologies into their processes. You will collaborate with product teams, account teams, and customers to develop solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth. Ideal candidates possess a strong technical background in electron microscopy, process development, and failure analysis, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

How you will make an impact:
The Field Applications Engineer is responsible for enabling industry customers to integrate tools into their processes, supporting semiconductor and related technologies development and production.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site professional technical support in India.
- Develop innovative solutions to customer challenges to ensure customer satisfaction and grow the business.
- Support tool acceptance and new technologies on location and in coordination with the product and service teams as Field Application Engineer.
- Develop positive relationships with our customers as a technical partner for solving their challenges, explaining our technology, and assisting with application development.
- Provide detailed technical feedback to the product teams on customer needs and product performance in the field
Qualification & Skill:
This position is ideal for a creative and dynamic technologist with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience.
- Typically requires a university degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field; an advanced degree is helpful.
- 2+ years of experience
- Hands-on experience with SDB (Small Dual Beam) required or related process use case creations as Field Application Engineer.
- Knowledge of process development in the semiconductor or related industries is a plus.
- Experience with characterization, failure analysis, and metrology a plus.
- Excellent, clear communication skills and the ability to cultivate positive, productive relationships with customers is a must.
- Ability to travel India domestically and possession of a valid passport.
