Job Description
Application/Clinical Specialist
The Application/Clinical Specialist at Avana Medical Devices will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, product training, and technical support to healthcare professionals. This role involves working closely with surgeons, physiotherapists, and medical teams to ensure optimal product usage in surgical and rehabilitation settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support and technical training to surgeons, physiotherapists, and hospital staff on products.
- Assist in surgical cases (if required) by offering product expertise and guidance.
- Conduct product demonstrations and hands-on workshops for healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support product adoption and address customer queries.
- Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and channel partners.
- Ensure effective product positioning by understanding clinical needs and market demands.
- Gather feedback from clinicians to contribute to product improvements and innovation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sports medicine advancements and surgical techniques.
- Support clinical trials and case studies for new product evaluations.
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory for on-site support and training.
Minimum Requirement for Avana Medical Application/Clinical Specialist
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, B.Pharm, B.Sc. Nursing, or Physiotherapy.
3-8 years of experience in clinical application support in sports medicine, orthopedic, or medical device industry.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong clinical knowledge of sports medicine procedures and rehabilitation.
Excellent presentation and communication skills to train healthcare professionals.
Ability to work closely with surgeons and physiotherapists in a clinical setting.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to provide real-time solutions in surgical cases.
Travel Requirements:
50% or more travel within the assigned territory for clinical support and training.
