This critical role focuses on building and maintaining strong technical relationships with end-user companies across industries such as biogas, oil & gas, fertilizers, petrochemicals, and process gas. The incumbent will play a key role in supporting technical operations, optimizing processes, and developing innovative technology concepts, collaborating closely with Technical Centers in Asia and Europe.

Purpose of the Position
The Manager – Technical Services (Application Technology) will:

Establish and nurture technical relationships with end-user companies in biogas, oil & gas, fertilizers, refinery-petrochemicals, process gas, and engineering sectors.

Provide technical support and ensure high operational standards for plants using Evonik membranes in the India region.

Develop and implement new process technologies and optimization concepts while maintaining a focus on safety, environmental protection, and profitability.

Collaborate with Technical Centers in Asia and Europe to enhance business opportunities and ensure high-quality technical service delivery.
Key Responsibilities for Manager – Technical Services Job:

Customer Relations & Technical Support:
-
Maintain and expand close technical relations with Biogas OEMs, Natural Gas OEMs, and Process Gas OEMs in India.

Conduct technical training for OEMs and support them through design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting.

On-site Trials & Troubleshooting:
-
Conduct on-site trials, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer locations.

Organize and conduct gas analysis, collect and evaluate process data, and ensure adherence to high-quality standards.

Application Development & Process Optimization:

Initiate and manage application development activities across the value chain.

Provide deep technical expertise on new applications and technologies.

Optimize existing processes and develop new technology concepts to meet customer and market demands.

Project Management for Manager – Technical Services Job:

Plan, initiate, and manage mid-range investment projects with moderate complexity.

Independently manage and document projects from initiation to execution in coordination with clients.

Technical Marketing & Business Development:

Conduct regular visits to key OEMs and end-user companies to provide technical and product training.

Analyze and quantify business opportunities at OEMs, maintain opportunity management systems, and follow up until conversion to sales.

Education, Certifications, and Experience Requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in process technology, chemical engineering, polymer technology, or membrane technology.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical services, preferably in the renewable energy, petrochemical, or specialty chemical industries.

Project Management: Proven expertise in independently managing technical projects with mid-range investment volumes and complexity.
