Job Description:

Are you passionate about working in a dynamic manufacturing environment and contributing to the production of cutting-edge life sciences products? Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is seeking a Polymer Chemist I to join our Production-Operations team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for polymer dye synthesis and related manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 & EN ISO 13485:2016, MDSAP, and Beckman Coulter’s corporate quality system requirements.

Responsibilities of Polymer Chemist:

  • Handling metal catalyst reactions.
  • Performing and optimizing C-N and C-C coupling reactions.
  • Handling air/moisture-sensitive reagents and conducting reactions at temperatures ranging from -78ºC to higher temperatures.
  • Purifying organic compounds using various column chromatography and separation techniques.
  • Synthesizing fluorescent dyes suitable for Flow Cytometry applications.

Qualifications for Polymer Chemist:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Polymer chemistry and conjugation chemistry knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC/GPC/TFF/Spectrophotometer/Fluorimeter and automated purification systems.
