Positions Available under the DBT-Sponsored Project

Interviews will be conducted for the position of One (01) JRF/Project Associate-1 under a project entitled “Value addition and product Diversification in Tea” sponsored by DBT at Biochemistry Department, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Tea Research Association, Jorhat, Assam as per the following details:

• Position: JRF/Project Associate-1
• No. of Post: 01
• Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry
• Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in a relevant field
• Monthly Fellowship: Project Associate-1, Rs. 25,000 + 8% HRA per month
• Job Responsibility: Project-related research work. The candidate will be responsible for wet chemical analysis, field activity, pilot plant work, and the running of sophisticated analytical instruments like HPLC and UV-Vis. Spectrophotometer, etc. The candidate will also get the opportunity to register for a higher degree (Subject to attaining the required qualification).
• Project Duration: Till 12.09.2025

General Instructions

1. The above posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
2. Walk-in interviews will be conducted for the selection of the candidates on 27th March 2025 at 10.30 am (Interested candidates should Report on or before 10.30 AM. Candidates arriving after the specified time will not be considered) at Neem Them Hall, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, TRA, Jorhat.
3. Candidates appearing in the final semester may also apply for the position. However, at the time of the interview, the candidate must submit the final semester mark sheet/pass certificate.
4. Candidate must carry a set of photocopies of testimonials of qualifications, mark sheets, experience, date of birth, etc. (with the originals for verification) along with the fill-in application form as enclosed.
5. The prevailing Institute’s rules will govern all other terms and conditions of appointment, and the decision of the Chairman of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
6. No TA/DA or any other expenses will be provided for attending the interview.
7. Selected candidates need to join immediately or at very short notice.
8. The Director, Tea Research Association, Tocklai Tea Research Institute reserves all rights to select or reject a candidature, including cancellation of the interview, without assigning any reason.
