MSc Organic Chemistry Research Chemist Main Responsibilities:
- Synthesis & Scale-Up: Conduct synthesis and scale-up of small organic molecules, intermediates, and active ingredients in milligram to multikilogram quantities.
- Process Development: Develop and optimize synthesis routes for intermediates and finished products, focusing on chemical, physical, and preparative aspects.
- Literature & Retrosynthesis: Perform retrosynthesis planning and literature searches for efficient route selection.
- Technical Documentation: Evaluate and document experimental data, prepare tech transfer documents and lab development reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with research, analytical, and safety teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- EHS & Compliance: Follow BASF’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and best practices in all lab activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience For MSc Organic Chemistry Research Chemist:
- Education:
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with strong theoretical knowledge in organic synthesis.
- Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of experience as a chemist in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or agrochemical industry.
- Hands-on experience in synthesis, process development, and scale-up.
- Skills:

- Strong technical expertise in organic synthesis and process optimization.
