Business Unit/Function: 3 Cyano Pyridine
Location: Bharuch
Reports To: Shift In-Charge
Job Summary:
The Production Chemist is responsible for shift plant operations as per SOPs and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the logbook and shift report.
- Operate the plant as per SOPs.
- Record all plant readings and update log sheets.
- Perform loading and unloading of materials from drums, tanks, and receivers.
- Report any plant abnormalities to the Shift In-Charge.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE usage and housekeeping standards.
- Execute planned transfer and unloading of raw materials and dispatch finished goods.
- Analyze process samples to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collect process samples per Shift In-Charge’s instructions while following safety precautions.
- Transfer raw materials as per operational requirements.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security (EHS) standards.
Qualifications & Experience for Jubilant Life Sciences: Production Chemist Job
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. in Chemistry.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a continuous chemical process or batch process plant.
Key Competencies:
- Operating knowledge of continuous chemical process or batch process.
- Hands-on experience with reactors, filters, centrifuges in a batch process.
- Strong adherence to quality and safety norms.
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC-based plant operations.
- Experience with distillation operations and handling toxic/hazardous materials.
