Job Overview
Clarivate is looking for an Associate STEM Content Analyst to join the Pharma Chem team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have expertise in patent analysis, chemical structure drawing, and the nomenclature of chemical compounds. This role involves indexing and coding chemical compounds in patents, contributing to data accuracy, and keeping up with advancements in pharmaceutical and chemistry research.
Eligibility Criteria for Freshers Pharma Content Analyst
- Education:
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc in Chemistry
- Experience:
- Freshers or professionals with 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical content editing (not related to research and development)
Preferred Skills:
- Patent analysis and internet research
- Chemical structure drawing (ISIS Draw, Marvin JS)
- Markush structures and IUPAC nomenclature
- Knowledge of drugs and their human use
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Elementary proficiency in a foreign language (German, French, Spanish – preferred)
Key Responsibilities of Freshers Pharma Content Analyst
- Indexing and coding chemical compounds present in patents as per Derwent Innovation product guidelines
- Conducting chemical structure drawing and patent analysis
- Analyzing industry trends and staying updated with new developments in pharma and chemistry
- Upskilling in pharma, chemistry, intellectual property, and data analysis
- Collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality content processing
About the Team
- The Pharma Chem team operates from Chennai and Hyderabad with 20+ members
- The team is responsible for indexing and coding chemical compounds in patents for leading R&D labs, universities, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide
- The team reports to Content Managers in India and London
