Job Title: Scientist II, CDL
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Brief Job Overview:
This is a non-supervisory position in the Compendial Development Laboratory (CDL) within Global Laboratory Operations. The incumbent will be responsible for performing analytical method development and validations for USP/NF monographs and maintaining safety and GLP environment in the lab. This position is a component of USP’s core business, and the incumbent is expected to support monograph modernization initiatives.

- Engage in project planning, execution, method development and validation of projects.
- Apply technical and scientific expertise in analytical method development.
- Prepare project plans, reports, and compile project data.
- Adhere to GLP and safety practices in the lab.
- Practice Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging principles.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 3-6 years of experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of USP/NF monographs.
- Hands-on experience with instruments like HPLC, FT-IR, UV-Visible.
- Experience in analytical method developments using modern techniques.
Additional Desired Preferences:
- Master’s degree in chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 3-6 years of experience in relevant field.
- Experience in working with instruments like GC, IC, ICP-OES/MS, FT-IR, and more.
- Understanding of GLP regulations and exposure to external regulatory audits.
- Technical knowledge in Drug substance, Drug products, and dosage forms.
- Exceptional breadth of Pharma industry experience.
