Applications are invited for the temporary position (contractual) of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India sponsored project entitled, “Cold Atmospheric Pressure Plasma for the treatment of chronic wounds – A Geroscience based approach” under the Principal Investigator Dr. Kamatchi Sankaranarayanan, Physical Sciences Division, Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, Guwahati, Assam.

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of positions: 01 (One)
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is a maximum of 28 years at the time of application. Relaxation as per GoI rules.
Fellowship:
- ₹ 31000 + admissible HRA per month for scholars with qualified CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or equivalent.
- Those who do not fall under (i), emolument will be as per the DST, Govt. of India guidelines.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates with prior research experience will be given preference.
Duration: Appointment will be till completion of the project (Jan 2026) depending on the research progress and performance of the incumbent and status of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

The candidate should upload self-attested documents as mentioned in the online application. Further, they must have to bring in person their original mark-sheets, certificates and other credentials if called for interview. Shortlisted candidates may appear before the interview board through video conferencing, subject to prior approval. Only online application will be considered.
