Summary of the Role:
To perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities for the Dahej Plant. Perform Quality Management system activities, specifically leading the development and standardization of Quality management system processes, Coordination of Interna/external certification audit programs. Implement continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, and Operation.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the creation and revision of standard operating procedures and work instructions or job aids for Quality control processes.
- Accountable for reviewing the incoming, in-process, and final product data using statistical tools and providing data-driven insights for product and process improvements.
- Drive the process improvements to improve operational efficiency, product quality, safety, and cost.
- Responsible for the Validation, Calibration, and measurement system programs. Drive new programs implemented from Global QA to Dahej.
Education / Certification:
Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering, preferably from a good
university & minimum work experience of 8 to 12 years in the chemical process industry or polymer compounding industryExperience and Skills:
- Experience in the industry related to Batch operations and compounding –preferably solid / powder material.
- Strong knowledge of Quality management system documentation and implementation in a plant environment. Preferably managed audits, similar to management system implementations.
- Familiar with the key systems to drive Quality and operational excellence at manufacturing plants, such as 5S, TQM, 7QC tools, and Six Sigma (preferred).
