Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities of Safety Specialist

  • Follow Syngene’s established EHSS policies and procedures.
  • Implement safe systems of work, including permit-to-work and risk assessments.
  • Ensure regulatory and internal compliance in safety management.
  • Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective measures.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and management.
  • Promote workplace safety awareness and training.

Qualifications & Skills for Safety Specialist Job

  • Educational Qualification:
    • BSc/MSc (Chemistry) / BTech/MTech (Chemical) / Diploma in Industrial safety
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of EHSS regulations, risk assessments, and incident management.
    • Safe Systems of work (permit to work, risk assessment etc.)
    • Compliance (regulatory and internal)
    • Knowledge on Environmental management
    • Emergency management
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in safety compliance, regulatory audits, and emergency management.
  • Behavioral Skills:
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Work-life balance and time-management
