Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities of Safety Specialist
- Follow Syngene’s established EHSS policies and procedures.
- Implement safe systems of work, including permit-to-work and risk assessments.
- Ensure regulatory and internal compliance in safety management.
- Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective measures.
- Assist in emergency response planning and management.
- Promote workplace safety awareness and training.
Qualifications & Skills for Safety Specialist Job
- Educational Qualification:
- BSc/MSc (Chemistry) / BTech/MTech (Chemical) / Diploma in Industrial safety
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of EHSS regulations, risk assessments, and incident management.
- Safe Systems of work (permit to work, risk assessment etc.)
- Compliance (regulatory and internal)
- Knowledge on Environmental management
- Emergency management
- Experience:
- Prior experience in safety compliance, regulatory audits, and emergency management.
- Behavioral Skills:
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
