Accountabilities
Apply scientific knowledge and insights relevant to therapeutic areas
Apply scientific knowledge and insights relevant to therapeutic areas, healthcare systems, products, disease state management, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape, coordinated with knowledge of the regulatory environment, to build compelling medical content and communication.
Work with MI&C staff and collaborators
Work together with MI&C staff and collaborators to implement scientific content strategy, and build and distribute scientific content to address the needs of our customers.
Support HCPs through delivery of high-quality medical information
Support HCPs through delivery of high-quality, timely, customer-focused medical information.
Contribute to MI&C processes for operational perfection
Contribute to MI&C processes to drive operational perfection, efficiency, and digital innovation.
Scientific Content/Brand Partnership
Lead/Support scientific communication materials
Lead/Support the development, review, and maintenance of scientific communication materials (e.g., MI requests, digital assets, Field Medical materials) in collaboration with MI&C team and Medical Affairs.
HCP Engagement
Build balanced responses to medical information inquiries
Build scientifically balanced responses to medical information inquiries from Health Care Providers to support the appropriate use of AstraZeneca products. Address sophisticated inquiries from local markets.
Identify, analyze, and report trends and insights
Identify, analyze, and report trends and medical and scientific insights to collaborators to advise business strategy and scientific content and communication needs.
Crucial Skills/Experience
Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience
Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience (PharmD preferred, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant drug/medical information in pharmaceutical industry or comparable experience within the healthcare/clinical/hospital or medical communications environment
Desirable Skills/Experience for Medical Information & Communication Job
Various skills and experiences required
