What You Will Do:
- Support projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation.
- Work in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project.
- Act with full responsibility for technical solution and quality aspects of project performance, while securing project management buy-in and being aligned with a focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
- Work in close cooperation with the Plant Integration team in each of the market companies.
- Collaborate with customers and colleagues in an international environment and utilize resources throughout the organization.
- Conduct/support quotation development in conjunction with the project manager and account managers for systems/modules.
- Estimate equipment costs and source/price equipment/services in coordination with the project manager.
- Provide sales support by giving technical presentations.
- Understand and utilize Plant Integration business processes, organization, tasks, costs, and quality.
- Handle planning, structure, resource utilization, follow-ups, and meeting deadlines/objectives.
Skills & Expertise Required:
- Proficiency in MS Project, plant engineering, thermodynamics, flow dynamics, production planning, and industry standards for process piping, equipment, and installation.
- Strong understanding of automation control application, instrumentation applications, and start-up/commissioning of systems.
- Ability to handle technical and “soft” problems with a systematic, creative, and analytical approach.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
- Regulatory experience/awareness with CFIA, APPS, TSSA, 3A, CSA, FDA, OSHA, etc.
- Continuously seek to improve market understanding and embrace challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications We Believe You Have:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Chemical, Food Process Engineering, or Dairy Technology with 3-5 years of relevant Process Engineering experience.
- Experience in food and dairy system design is a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
- Process design knowledge and ability to read/understand process and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to plan, delegate, multi-task, and focus on quality.
