Job Description:
To contribute to the overall development of academics – students, teachers, curriculum, and co-curriculum development.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-8 years.
- Qualifications:
- BA/MA/B.Sc/M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Biology with B.Ed is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and classroom tools.
- Commitment to professional growth and development.
Skills:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to maintain clear and positive interactions with students, parents, administrators, and the wider educational community.
- Expertise in curriculum development and innovation to ensure that the Science department’s academic programs align with educational standards and foster student engagement.
- Exceptional team management skills, including recruitment and evaluation of faculty, to create a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making to address challenges promptly, contributing to the overall success of the department and the institution.
Requirements:
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development, review, and enhancement of the Science curriculum. Ensure that the curriculum meets educational standards and addresses the needs of students.
- Faculty Management: Recruit, hire, and evaluate Science faculty members. Provide guidance and support for professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Instructional Improvement: Encourage the use of innovative teaching methods and technologies. Facilitate workshops or training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with institutional policies and educational standards. Communicate policies and procedures to faculty and students.
- Departmental Representation: Represent the Science department in administrative meetings. Collaborate with other HODs and administrators to address institutional goals.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, students, and the community. Organize or participate in events showcasing the achievements of the Science department.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of instruction and academic programs within the Science department. Implement measures for continuous improvement.
