Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modeling and Simulation Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in model building and validation, including:
- Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetics (PBPK)
- Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PKPD)
- In Vitro-In Vivo Correlation (IVIVC)
- Population Pharmacokinetics (PopPK)
- Proficiency in PK Sim, GastroPlus, WinNonlin, and other relevant software is essential. Additionally, a working knowledge of retrosynthesis and computational chemistry is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and MATLAB is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate complex models including PBPK, PKPD, IVIVC, and PopPK using tools such as PK Sim, GastroPlus, and WinNonlin.
- Conduct thorough model building and validation to support drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide modeling and simulation support for various projects.
- Apply computational chemistry techniques to support drug design and optimization.
- Utilize retrosynthesis approaches to aid in the identification and development of novel compounds.
- Utilize programming skills in R, Python, and MATLAB to enhance modeling and simulation workflows.
- Interpret and communicate modeling and simulation results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current with advancements in modeling and simulation methodologies and software.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MS) in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computational Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience with PK Sim, GastroPlus, WinNonlin, and other relevant modeling and simulation software.
- Strong expertise in model building and validation, including PBPK, PKPD, IVIVC, and PopPK.
- Working knowledge of retrosynthesis and computational chemistry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and MATLAB.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data and concepts to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for modeling and simulation in drug development.
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals related to modeling and simulation.
