About the job

Online applications are invited for the position of Project Associate I to work under the “Covalent Organic Framework (COF) based Novel Molecular Gears on Solid Surfaces: A Quantum Mechanical Investigation” project.

Responsibilities

• The Project Associate will work on the dynamics of the molecules over the surfaces using the state-of-the-art computational facilities available at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ).
• The candidate can also register for the Ph.D. program at MUJ.

Qualifications

• Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics/Material Science or related fields with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidate should be CSIR/UGC/NET/GATE qualified, and must have studied Mathematics at least up to the 10+2 level.
• Desirable: Prior experience working in the areas of Computational Materials Science, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, and Electron Transport theory. Some programming knowledge in Fortran/Python will be a plus.

Salary

• As per SERB norms, emoluments are Rs 31,000 + HRA p.m. for one year, with an annual performance review based on satisfactory performance (The relevant DST-SERB notification may be perused for further details and norms).
• Non-NET/GATE candidates are eligible for Rs 25,000 + HRA p.m.

October 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2025.
