Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
Defence Institute of Bio-Energy Research (DIBER) under the aegis of DRDO is engaged in Research & Development in the area of Field Portable and Hybrid Energy Systems, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAT) from Camelina, Military Micro Grids, Combined Heat and Power Systems (CHP) for high altitude and Cold regions, High altitude waste disposal system etc., for supporting armed forces in cold/extreme cold and high-altitude areas. DIBER provides an excellent opportunity to young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in the branches of Science and Engineering, viz., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics streams, and Chemical Engineering with state-of-the-art research facilities for undertaking research in challenging areas.
Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates with the desired qualification for the post of Junior Research Fellows to work in ongoing and future research projects at DIBER.

Eligibility Criteria/Qualification and Experience:
- Essential: Post Graduate degree in Chemistry with first division both at Graduate & Post Graduate Level with NET or Equivalent.
- Desirable: Preference will be given to those who have one or more years of research experience in the relevant field.

Common Guidelines
- Eligible candidates should send their duly completed application form on or before 6th Sept 2024 till 17:00 hours through post addressed to Centre Head, DIBER, Goraparao, P.O. Arjunpur, Haldwani, Distt Nainital-263139 or e-Mail ([email protected], [email protected]).
- Mode of selection: Interview basis of shortlisted candidates at DIBER (DRDO) Haldwani.
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will be paid Rs. 37,000/- with HRA as stipend.
- The award of JRF will be as per DRDO & National Agency’s Research Fellowship rules. The offer of fellowship does not confer on fellows any right for absorption in DRDO. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
- Number of seats for JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice. Any subject for JRF may change (include/exclude) without prior notice.
- Decision of the Centre Head DIBER (DRDO) Haldwani will be final in case of any discrepancy.
- Age not exceeding 28 years for JRF as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 3 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates respectively as per Govt. rules.
- Candidates possessing degree/provisional degree certificate in eligible subjects are only eligible to apply.
- Ph.D. Programme: JRF will be allowed to register for Ph.D. with a recognized University Institution under MoU with DIBER during the tenure of the fellowship.
- Candidates are required to produce all certificates/testimonials in original including thesis/report and research papers at the time of the interview; otherwise, they would not be allowed to appear for the interview. One photocopy set of all documents with the application must be carried during the Interview. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies are required to produce NOC from their employer at the time of the interview.
- Second class AC train fare to the shortest distance will be allowed for eligible candidates only for attending the interview. No DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
- TA/DA will not be paid for not eligible candidates for appearing in the interview.
- Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and informed through email.
- Shortlisted candidates may appear for an in-person interview at 09:30 hrs on 25th Sept 2024 at DIBER, Haldwani (Nainital).
