Project objective: Aptamer discovery and electrochemical sensing of commercially relevant metabolites

Duration: 36 months (subject to satisfactory performance)

- Material / Biomaterial engineering

- Material and biochemical characterization
Instrument handling opportunity:
- Potentiostat
- Sputtering / spin coating / dip-coating / electrochemical deposition
- Standard nanomaterial preparation instruments
- Thermal cycler, real time PCR, gel doc etc.
Minimum qualification:
- MSc in chemistry / applied chemistry / industrial chemistry / analytical chemistry / biophysics / biochemistry / physics / applied physics / engineering physics / material science / nanoscience / nanobiotechnology or equivalent discipline with CGPA of 6.00/10 or 60% marks.
- OR, Candidates must have BE / B.Tech. and / or ME / M.Tech. or B.Pharm. / M. Pharm. in chemical engineering / material engineering / nanotechnology / nanobiotechnology / biosciences or equivalent discipline. Masters: CGPA of 6.00/10 or 60% marks. For 4-Yr
- Bachelor degree: CGPA of 7.00/10 or 70% marks.
- Strong quantitative skills, preferably physics-chemistry-math (PCM) combo in higher secondary (+2)
- Have cleared GATE / CSIR-UGC NET including LS / any of the selection processes through national level exam conducted by central gov agencies and their institutions
Additional desirable qualification (but not compulsory): any one or more of the following,
- Research experience in material science and/or electrochemistry related projects
- Research experience and/or coursework taken in bioscience
- Interest in pursuing ambitious highly interdisciplinary research areas
