The Fast Trak associate scientist for Cytiva is responsible for delivering upstream process development and Biacore projects and trainings to Cytiva’s Biopharmaceutical customers.
This position is part of the BIS-PDVS, PD services organization located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver upstream process development projects for various application areas (e.g., Monoclonal Antibodies (MAb’s), vaccines, recombinant proteins) to meet required quality and timelines.
- Deliver on Biacore projects and other analytical projects.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all work, including proposals, reports, eLN to customers in oral and written manner.
- Deliver practical and lectures in various training courses for customers, theoretical as well as practical, in the field of biomanufacturing.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Earned a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering or related Life Sciences field; with 2 plus years or more of hands-on cell culture and Biacore experience.
- Understanding of principles and theory behind bioreactor cultivation for processing biologicals with knowledge in principles of process development, scale-up, validation, single-use, hybrid, and traditional set ups.
- Working knowledge of general analytical methods applicable for upstream process development (metabolite analysis, cell-based assays, HPLC, electrophoresis, assay development, SDS-PAGE, etc).
- Excellent communicator with English language proficiency, with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer-focused environment.
