Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate-I from interested and talented candidates for the CSIR sponsored project entitled “Process for the preparation of fine and leather chemicals (5-methylfurfural, rhamnose, biotanning agents and biocolorants) from seaweed and their applications” (Project Code: FBR030306) at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry
Desirable: Candidates having research experience in the area of catalysis/in organic/organic synthesis/biomass conversion.
Monthly Emoluments:
(i) 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Test – CSIR UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professor) or GATE. OR (b) A selection process through a National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions.
(ii) 25,000 /- + HRA for others who don’t fall under (i) above.
Job description: Extraction, characterization and catalytic conversion of seaweed polysaccharides
Age: As of the last date of receipt of application through email, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the CSIR rule.
Duration: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of project staff in different projects either
in the CSIR-CSMCRI, or different Lab/Institute of CSIR taken together shall not exceed five years in any case. It would not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.How to Apply:
