Applications are invited for a Project Associate-I position under Prof. Sadhana Sathaye, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.
Project title: Evaluation of immunomodulatory and anti-cancer properties of Hydroxychavicol, a major constituent of Piper betel.
Essential Qualifications
M.Pharm/M.Tech (Biotechnology, Pharmacology) graduates (students of M.Pharm/M.Tech (Biotechnology, Pharmacology) who will be submitting their thesis by June 2024 are also eligible to apply).
Job Roles:
- Perform project-related experiments and develop new techniques and protocols for drug screening using cell culture technology.
- Use a flow cytometer for cell marker evaluation.
- Perform molecular biology experiments.
- Apply analytical techniques including HPLC.
- Have animal handling experience and expertise.
- It is mandatory for the applicant to have practical experience in mammalian cell culture.
Stipend: Rs. 31,000 + HRA
(Registration for a Ph.D. degree under this project is subject to fulfillment of the Institute’s academic requirements.)
