Age – Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes as on normal closing in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for Government servants upto five years in accordance with instructions or orders issued by Central Government.

Probation – 02(Two) Years

Headquarters – Headquarters is in Nagpur (Maharashtra) with service liability anywhere in India.

Other Details – General Central Service, Non-Ministerial Gazetted, Group ‘B’. The post is permanent.

Pay Scale – Pay Level-7 (44,900-1,42,400) in pay matrix under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.44,900/- plus DA as applicable per month

Essential Qualification (s)

Educational – 

A- EDUCATIONAL

Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a Recognised University or Institution

Note Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. Experience-

Two (02) years’ experience in chemical analysis of ores and minerals from a laboratory recognized as a Research Laboratory by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research or Department of Science and Technology or any other such Government organization carrying out chemical analysis of ores and minerals.

Note- The qualifications regarding experience is or are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission, for the reasons to be regarded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes if, at any state of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from the community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.

Duty(ies):  To conduct chemical analysis of ores, minerals and ore dressing products using classical method and instrumental methods of analysis. Supervising and guiding the technical assistants in chemical analysis.

APPLICATION FEE –

1. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by
   remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of the SBI or by using a visa/master credit/debit card.
2. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is
   available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
3. Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
4. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
