The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on a contract basis.
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Name of Project: Si–H bond activation and its applications in homogeneous catalysis
Funding agency: SERB (EEQ/2023/000702)
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency): M.Sc Chemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 65%. SC/ST candidates 60%
Desirable qualifications:
- Preferable: CSIR-UGC NET or Lectureship / GATE
- Prior experience in Organometallic chemistry especially Glove box handling and Schlenk techniques
- NMR, IR data analysis and routine laboratory techniques (Column Chromatography, crystallization techniques, reaction set-up)
Number of posts: 01
Fellowship amount: Rs. 31,000 + 8% HRA (Rs.2480)
Tenure of the post: 24 months
Age: 26 Years. Age relaxation for SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates are applicable
