APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES FOR THE FY 2024-25
(Under Apprentices Act 1961 as amended in 1961, 1973 & 2014)
ACEM (Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials), a state of the art composite propellant processing facility of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), is in process of recruitment of apprentices for the financial year 2024-25. Applications for Apprenticeship are invited for one-year training in the following disciplines:
Apprentice Category: Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech)
Essential Qualification: B.E/B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology
Total Stipend (Rs): 12,000/-

Application Procedure:
- Candidates are required to fill the Application form by Typing, Affix the passport size photograph and sign in the application form. The scanned copies of filled application form along with desired essential documents/certificates in PDF format must be sent through e-mail only to [email protected]. It is compulsory to attach University/College CGPA to Percentage conversion formula document adopted by University/College along with all necessary supporting documents. The application form is enclosed herewith.
- Last date for receipt of application: 30 April 2024
- All correspondence with candidates shall be done through email only. Do not send any HARD COPY of application.
- Responsibility of downloading and printing of letter shall be that of the candidates. ACEM will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent due to invalid/wrong e-mail ID provided by the candidate or delivery email to SPAM/BULK mail folder etc.
Selection Procedure:
- Application received will be shortlisted and only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview.
- Selection will be based on the interview. The date and time of interview will be intimated through email to shortlisted candidates.
- Only selected candidates will be informed through offer letter.
- Preference will be given to local candidates.
Terms & Conditions for selection of Apprentices:
- Candidates for Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice (Diploma) are required to register in National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal (https://nats.education.gov.in)
- The fresh pass-out candidates passing their respective courses in 2022 – 2023 only can apply.
- Graduate/Diploma degree holders who have training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualification will NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.
- Reservation will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992 as amended from time to time. Applications belonging to SC (Scheduled Caste)/ST (Scheduled Tribe)/OBC (Other Backward Classes) – Non-Creamy layer shall produce their caste certificates in prescribed format issued by the competent authority.
- Selected candidates have to submit the “MEDICAL FITNESS CERTIFICATE” and “POLICE VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE” at the time of joining.
- The selected candidates must execute a contract for a period of one year of training as per provision of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and rules framed there under.
- Before applying the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.
- It shall not be obligatory on the part of the Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials, where training is imparted, to offer any employment to any apprentice after completion of the period of his/her apprenticeship training.
- Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process.
- ACEM reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats for apprenticeship training.
- Any canvassing or personal follow up with an intention for inducting the process of selection of apprentice by and on behalf of any candidates shall lead to immediate cancellation of candidates.
- ACEM reserves the right to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/selection process if circumstances so warrant without assigning any reason thereof.
- The apprentices will not be provided any quarters/hostel accommodations/transportation by this establishment during the training period.
