Recruitment of Project Senior Research Fellow in industrial funded project
Applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian nationals for the position of Project Senior Research Fellow in an industry-funded project entitled “Role of Triphala and Ashwagandha in protecting mitochondrial health of neurons: A comparative evaluation of its impact on brain function and cognition” on a purely contractual basis tenable at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER-Ahmedabad. The tenure of the position is for 6 months.
The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below.

Vacancy: 01 Project Senior Research Fellow 01 (Biological Science, Unreserved)
Project Title: Role of Triphala and Ashwagandha in protecting mitochondrial health of neurons: A comparative evaluation of its impact on brain function and cognition
Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA (11,3400/-) = Rs. 53,350/- initial appointment will be for one year which may be further extended to three years subject to the project duration and performance. The positions will co-terminate with the project.
Qualification: Essential Qualification: Project Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical) 01 (Biological Science, Unreserved) The candidate must have first class in postgraduate degree
in Pharmacology and toxicology.A. At least 2 publications as first author in journals of repute
B. Desirable Essential Qualification: Candidate should be familiar with MCAo stroke surgery and knowledge in neuroscience and stroke will be preferred. The candidate must also have experience in various techniques in molecular biology (Cell culture, rt-QPCR, Western-blot, Flow cytometry, RNA extraction, ELISA, Histological staining etc). Should have firsthand experience in small animal handling and surgery, a fair knowledge of molecular mechanism elucidation, statistical data analysis, etc.
