Responsibilities
- Supporting the Global Research Center’s Lab Unit in surfactants for product design and development across pertinent business segments.
- Executing projects by designing technical frameworks, meeting objectives, and facilitating the scale-up process.
- Leading innovation by identifying novel opportunities in the surfactants field, proposing innovative ideas, and conducting feasibility studies in collaboration with business segments.
- Contributing to surfactants sustainability efforts by implementing new and enhanced processes to reduce carbon footprint.
- Providing training and development in lab safety and good laboratory practices to colleagues.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, preferably with a focus on synthesis, particularly in surfactants and/or oleochemicals.
- A minimum of 3 years of industrial experience is necessary.
- International experience, such as a post-doctoral position, is desirable.
- Hands-on experience in synthesizing specialty (oleo) chemicals and/or surfactant molecules, with a clear understanding of their intended applications.
- Basic understanding of process development and subsequent scaling up.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Ability to generate innovative ideas and develop inventive solutions.
