Call for Project Research Scientist I (JRF) in the area of Electrochromic Devices for Cancer Cell Detection at BITS, Pilani – Hyderabad Campus
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Project Research Scientist I (Junior Research Fellow) position in the ICMR-funded (Proposal ID No. IIRP-2023-5411/F1) project entitled “Development of Self-Powered Electrochromic Smart Display for Visual Detection of Folate Receptor Overexpressed Cancer Cells” under the joint supervision of Dr. Chanchal Chakraborty (PI, Department of Chemistry, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus) and Prof. Balaram Ghosh (Co-PI, Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus).
Project Position: Project Research Scientist I (Junior Research Fellow)

Duration of project: 3 years
Fellowship amount: Project Research Scientist I (JRF) = Rs. 56,000/- + 27%HRA = Rs. 71,120/- per month (as per ICMR OM dated 01.08.2023)
Place of work: BITS, Pilani – Hyderabad Campus
Eligibility requirements: First Class Postgraduate M. Sc. in Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Master in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, or M. Pharm. in Medicinal Chemistry
Desirable: GATE/NET/GPAT qualification: The project is multidisciplinary, so knowledge and prior experience with materials synthesis and characterization, semiconduction characterization, cyclic voltammetry, cell cultures, and imaging
will be crucial. Independent, resourceful individual with a strong motivation for research and an inclination to learn new techniques.Deadline of Application: 1st March 2024
