Essential Qualification(s): M.Sc. in Chemistry.

Fellowship: Rs 31000/- + HRA for the scholars who are selected through a process described through any one of the following:

(a) Scholars who are selected through National eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE.

(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, DAE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Age: Maximum 28 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.

Duration of the project: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project (Project duration : 3 years). The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

Job Description

: Selected candidate will work on SERB-funded Core Research Grant (CRG) entitled: : Synthesis and characterization of ultrathin microprous polymer membranes designed from structurally rigid and contorted monomers for efficient molecular separation. The main objective of this project is to prepare contorted, non-planner  monomer for polymer composite membranes used for molecular level separation in both aqueous and non-aqueous liquids.
