Scientist will contribute and strengthen the execution of innovation strategy. He will be driving research for innovation projects in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Lab Unit – Global Research Center Surfactants in product design and development for relevant Business segments
- Project Execution – Designing and executing technical project framework (i.e., project objectives, technical feasibility, patents etc.), meet project objectives and transfer process for scale up
- Driving innovation – Identify new opportunities in Surfactants field and propose out-of-the-box ideas, perform feasibility studies in coordination with Business segments
- Sustainability drive – Support surfactants sustainability transformation with new and improved processes achieving low carbon footprint
- Safety – Train and develop colleagues in lab safety and good laboratory practice
Requirements
Qualification
- PhD in Organic Chemistry with experience in synthesis, preferably in surfactants and/or oleochemicals
Desired Experience
- Atleast 3 years industrial experience
- International experience, such as a post-doctoral position, is desirable but not mandatory.
Skills/Knowledge
- Hands on experience in synthesis of specialty (oleo)chemicals and/or surfactant molecules with knowledge of target application
- Basic understanding about process development and further scale up
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to generate innovative ideas and devise creative solutions.
