Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal, invites applications for the position of Research Associate – I (RA – I) in the research area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry. This vacancy is under the DAE-BRNS funded research project (58/14/30/2022-BRNS/37101) in the Department of Chemistry at IISER Bhopal (Project No. BRNS/CHM/2022-2023/39).
Project Title: Total Synthesis of Avarane Meroterpenoids via Gold-Catalyzed Enyne Cycloisomerizations
Eligibility Criteria: Ph.D. in chemistry with expertise in catalysis and synthetic organic chemistry. The preference will be given to the applicants who have a strong track record. Those who have submitted their doctoral thesis but have not yet received Ph. D. degree are also eligible to apply.
Salary: Rs. 47,000/- (Consolidated) + HRA as per DAE-BRNS norms
Duration: Initially for one year (extendable up to next two years if the performance of the candidate is satisfactory).
