Research Engineer – Formulation
Position Summary: Coating formulations scientist responsible for the development of new coated products on glass
Responsibilities:
- Development of coating formulations for deposition on glass
- Project management involving multiple stages of development – concept ideation, prototyping and industrial scale-up.
- Manage multiple stakeholders in R&D, Business, Operations and Quality
- Establish a strong pipeline for new product development
- Build a strong IP portfolio.
Qualifications: g>
Master’s in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science with 5-7 years of experience
OR
Doctorate in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science with 3-5 years of experience
Specific skills / Personal attributes
- Safety mindset with good awareness of chemical hygiene
- Core background in paint formulations and coatings
- Some familiarity with coating processes (curtain, spray, roller etc.)
- Good communication skills
- Strong team player
- Ability to connect with the partners in operations, quality, R&D and business
