The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on a contract basis.
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Funding agency: SERB (SRG/2023/001701)
Title of Project: Carbonyl activation using late-transition metal-hydride complexes (H-M-L-X-H) (X = O, N) containing hydrogen bond donor ligands
Minimum Educational qualification: M.Sc Chemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 65%. SC/ST candidates 60%
Desirable qualifications: CSIR-UGC NET or Lectureship / GATE (ii) Prior experience in Organometallic chemistry especially Glove box handling and Schlenk techniques (iii) NMR, IR data analysis and routine laboratory techniques (Column Chromatrography, crystallization techniques, reaction set-up)
Number of posts: 01
Fellowship amount: Rs. 31,000 + 8% HRA (Rs.2480)
Tenure of the post: 12 months
Age: 26 Years. Age relaxation for SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates are applicable
