About: Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project sponsored by the Science & Engineering Research Board – for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details:
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title: Novel pharmacological interventions against chronic kidney disease using clinically approved Inodilators, ET-1A antagonists, and Bisphosphonates: drug repurposing approach
Funding Agency: SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RESEARCH BOARD (SERB)
Principal Investigator (PI): Prof. Gaikwad Anil Bhanudas, Department of Pharmacy
Project Tenure: 3 Years
Job Description
The candidate will carry out the proposed work of the project. He/She will validate the in-vitro and in-vivo CKD model and conduct molecular biology experiments and data analysis. Well-versed in animal handling, in-vitro work, molecular biology techniques, and pharmacology work. He/she will also write the research papers in indexed journals, conferences, and patents.
Qualification: First class M. Pharm in Pharmacology/M.S. Pharm in Pharmacology and Toxicology/Regulatory Toxicology
Desirable: GPAT qualified
Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 30 years
as of the date of the interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.Fellowship:
- 31,000/- (initially first two years) and 35,000 (afterward till the end of the project) per month for GPAT-qualified candidates.
- 25,000/-(initially first two years) and Rs 28,000 (afterward till the end of the project) per month for non-GPAT qualified candidates
Registration for PhD.
Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.
